President Trump has been charged with missconduct while holding public office by members of Congress. This process of impeachment must pass the both houses of congress. This process is started by a majority of the votes of the House of Representatives and eventually must receive two-thirds of the votes of the Senate in order to win the favor of impeachment.  An offense that is cause for someone's impeachment can be called an impeachable offense.

The point is a desire to remove President Trump  from public office and possible disqualification from holding further office. The purpose of impeachment is not personal punishment; rather, its function is primarily to maintain constitutional government.

For more confusion a shaddow over unity lets take a look at who becomes president when a president is impeached. The 25th Amendment, Section 1, clarifies Article II, Section 1, Clause 6, by stating unequivocally that the vice president is the direct successor of the president, and becomes president if the incumbent dies, resigns or is removed from office.
This is all political revenge tactics attempting to prohibit Present Trumpt from running again in 2024.
