Is Covid Vaccine Effective? Widespread vaccination for the coronavirus means that the virus will not infect as many people. This will limit spread through communities. Both Pfizer and Moderna report that their vaccines show approximately 95% efficacy at preventing both mild and severe symptoms of COVID-19.

The next Question we might ask ourselves is: Can you get Covid-19 after being vaccinated?

Despite vaccination, the risk remains that COVID infection can occur and be transmitted even between two individuals who are vaccinated,” Cohn echoes. “While the risk is lower without vaccination, an individual patient must weigh their tolerance for risk, given their increased chance of becoming infected with COVID.

Also there is now a new strain. The coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech is effective against the new strains of the virus first found in the United Kingdom and South Africa, Pfizer says.

Dr. Fauci says new data shows Covid vaccines appear to be less effective against some new strains. Early data shows that the Covid-19 vaccines on the market may not be as effective in guarding against more contagious strains of the coronavirus, Dr. Anthony Fauci said Thursday.

Antibiotics do not work against viruses; they only work on bacterial infections.  Image result for free images of antibioticsAntibiotics do not prevent or treat coronavirus disease (COVID-19), because COVID-19 is caused by a virus, not bacteria What About Hydroxychloroquine treating the disease?

No. Hydroxychloroquine sulfate and some versions of chloroquine phosphate are FDA-approved to treat malaria. Hydroxychloroquine sulfate is also FDA-approved to treat lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.

Just How Dangerous Is The Disease?

Although for most people COVID-19 causes only mild illness, it can make some people very ill. More rarely, the disease can be fatal. Older people, and those with pre- existing medical conditions (such as high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes) appear to be more vulnerable.

I myself have mixed emotions about accepting the vaccine; therefore, I will postpone taking it. What is your opinion?
