People Helping People....How Can We?.....

Did you know that there is an area in your home and your office that relates to peple helping people. The help and support you receive from others in your life and business is  directly related and part of a specific area of your home. It’s true and it’s important to know about this area because it has a direct affect on your life experiences and whether you attract the people into your life who can help and support you or whether you attract people who are particularly unhelpful or even malicious.

According to the ancient art of Feng Shui, this area is known as Helpful People (or Friends and Benefactors) and Travel. Now don’t worry, you don’t have to understand Feng Shui or even practice Feng Shui in order to make the most of this area. If you wanted to stop reading as soon as you saw those words,

I encourage you to read on with an open mind because this information might just be what you need to better understand people helping people. You certainly have nothing to lose by trying this – and you might just find it beneficial. This area is symbolized by the word Heaven and it relates to giving – unconditional service of yourself and others.

First, I would ask you to identify where you are and how you feel about this part of your life right now. So some questions to ask yourself are:

  • Do you have many close friends or people you can depend on in a crisis?
  • Do you consider yourself to be helpful to others?
  • Are you generous with your time/money?
  • Do you volunteer, donate or help groups less fortunate than you?
  • Are there people in your life who just show up when you need them?
  • Do you need to attract help into your life for a specific purpose (such as selling or buying a house, finding a job, finding the right employee, or getting help with a project)?
  • Do you want to travel more?
  • Do you want to travel less?
  • Do you consistently experience delays when you travel?

Once you identify how well (or not) this part of your life is functioning for you then you’ll be able to make the connection between what’s going on and what you find in this part of your home.

Next, you need to identify the area and what is in it right now. Imagine that you are standing outside looking at the front of your house. What is on the right side at the front? It might be a room, such as the living room, or it could be your garage or a car port. Or, if your garage is set back a little from the front of the house on the right side, it may be a driveway or it could be part of your front yard.

Whatever is in this area, assess what type of condition it’s in. For example, if it’s your garage, which is extremely disorganized and chaotic, then you may well find that you are in a situation where someone is being particularly difficult or argumentative, or that people never do what they say they’re going to do and you feel that others are making life difficult for you. You may even find that you’re constantly experiencing travel difficulties.

If the area is cluttered or is in need of repair, then it’s important to take care of that first. Once you do that, you can move on to finding ways to enhance the area to improve the energy in this part of your life.

You’ll want to enhance this area when:

  • you want to attract anyone to assist you in life
  • to generate helpful relationships
  • when you’re looking for spiritual guidance
  • if you want to improve the way people treat you
  • if you’d like to be more helpful to others
  • you’ll enhance it for any reason to do with travel
  • if you’re planning to move, such as moving home or moving to a different job

There are many things you can do to specifically enhance this area. Reminders of any people in your life who are or have been particularly helpful to you are always good to have here. These could be family members, teachers, bosses, co-workers, employees, a realtor if you’re selling your home, and so forth.

Anything that reminds you of them will work, so photographs are useful or perhaps that person gave you something so that when you look at it, the item particularly reminds you of them. It could even be a book that has had a particular impact on you.

Placing a mirror in the Helpful People area can have the effect of ‘pulling’ more people into your life who can be helpful to you. Adding moving water, such as a small fountain is said to improve your connections with people. Sound is always a good enhancement, so adding a wind chime to this area (even if it is inside) can be effective. Aquariums are also associated with good fortune and protection and can increase the number of helpful people who come into your life.

Other enhancements can be anything relating to travel, particularly if you want to go to a specific destination – put something here that reminds you of that location. Photographs, brochures, objects that are from there, can all be good enhancements for this area.

The most powerful enhancements are those that have personal meaning to you. They don’t have to mean anything to anyone else.

There’s a lot more I could say about this area, but this is enough to get you started. Skeptical? That’s o.k. Just give it a try anyway and see what happens.
